A(new) Day

Today, God is saying:

It is anew¹ day. A double entendre, which means that today, the day is here for you to “again, begin anew in a new or different form [for your] story to be told.” And also, as an idiom/phrase: [Today] is a new day. The word new² means “having recently come into existence.”

It is so funny how we at times convince ourselves that God is making up our life stories as He goes. It is as if we forget that God is in control although we know we do not need a reminder. When something is concerning us, or stressing us out (or both), it is easy for us to doubt the impeccable track record of God. And then, predictably so, we smile or laugh to ourselves when we re-realize that God, once again, is having our backs.

The Bible Says in 2 Corinthians 5:17³ (ESV):

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

But God understands. God is the most understanding Father. He is the most understanding Parent. He is the most understanding Being. He is not judging you or us for having a moment in being human. But God is expecting that we at the absolute least give ourselves a whisper back that He is allowing us another day anew. He is allowing us to have a fresh beginning in how we are thinking about our worlds and how we move through them moment by moment, and decision by decision.

If you can, remind yourself that God is here. God is with you, and on this journey you are on, He truly does see every thought, every curiosity, every stressor, and God is with you all the time. Ask Him, if you feel so led, to help you allow yourself to embrace this day anew, and that your outlook and perception aligns with what His Word says about you.

A great way to express yourself with God at the head of what we call your Journey Ship™ is to write in a simple, compact journal like our Signature Journal. To learn more or purchase today, visit this link.
